Isinusulong ng DPWH Ang Paggamit ng Plastic Waste

Isinusulong ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang paggamit sa tinatawag na shredded plastic bag waste upang maging matibay’ and to make longer and lasting nationals roads across the country.

Alinsunod sa Department Order No. 139 series of 2024, na pinirmahan ni DWPH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, na naglalayong sundin ang Department Standard Specification sa paggamit ng mga recycled material dubbed Item 310 (15)- bituminous concrete surface course with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic bag, hot laid.

Ayon kay Bonoan, ang recycle LDPE plastic bag waste ay ihahalo sa aspalto o seminto ng sa gayon hindi kaagad masira ang mga kalsada, or anila it is an additive to reduce the susceptibility to permanent deformation of bituminous concrete surface course or asphalt concrete.

Aniya ang paggamit ng LDPE plastic bag waste ay pumasa sa isinagawang mga pagaaral ng kanyang mga tauhan, pasado sa standard ng DPWH Research and standard, at sa pagsisikap upang mai-upgrade ang construction technology sa buong bansa.(froilan morallos)
